Exploring Mediaeval Churches The group examines the architectural features of churches situated within the East Riding of Yorkshire and meets on the second Thursday in the month at 10 am at the first venue. It's a good way of discovering the places you have always driven past and meant to visit. We take a break during the winter months (January and February) as the usual Arctic conditions can reduce the enjoyment. We have a loyal band of explorers with a couple of new recruits recently. The programme for the rest of the year is on the notice board in The Arts Centre and also on the website. Any requests are welcomed. Lifts can be arranged for those without transport. Autumn/Winter Programme 2008
December’s visit to Beverley Minster will be a guided tour (cost £4 per person). Arrangements: 12.15 am - Meet at the Tiger Inn in Lairgate near junction with Minster Moorgate. Car park. 2.00 pm - Minster tour (£4 per person) If anyone outside the group is interested in joining us, please ask, there may be spare places. Normally we hibernate during
January and February, but there is a possibility of investigating some
of the Third Age Trust resource material, inside, in the warmth! Watch
the notice board/website for details. Co-ordinator: Jennifer Hubbard
