Informal French

Come and improve your French. We are a small friendly group, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.

We have been pleased to welcome new members to our founder members this year. Although starting out as a conversation class, we all agreed that we wanted a little more structure and we now start by reading an article and then discussing it. Topics have been varied with an emphasis on using authentic materials e.g. magazines brought from France or
pages from French newspapers which can be downloaded on the same day. Everyone has a go and makes a contribution and everyone has a sense of humour.

Earlier in the year some of us met up to go to the French film ‘Le Scaphandre’ at Pocklington Arts Centre that was harrowing but uplifting. We meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 2 pm at 4 St John's Close, Pocklington.

New members are always welcome.
