Painting Groups

Painting Group 1

The group has grown in strength and in numbers. We now have 25 members and these are of varying degrees of experience. A few are complete beginners who are helped along by the more experienced.

We were recently invited to submit paintings in an exhibition for local artists, which took place in Burnby Hall. Most of us entered at least one painting and we really enjoyed the experience. Last term two of our members were brave enough to give us illustrated talks and this was a great success.

I'm hoping some others will follow suit but there is no compulsion to do so. We continue to be a very friendly group of people who enjoy not only painting but also the social side of meeting up with friends and having a chat.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month between 2pm and 4pm. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Due to our success we have started a second group lead by George Bell

We meet at the same venue on Wednesday mornings 09.30 - 12.00.
