Meditation can positively impact mental and physical health. Whether it’s by reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing focus, or improving relationships and plenty more.
We initially utilise a U3A recommended book Mindfulness – A practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world by Prof. Mark Williams (Oxford University) and Dr Danny Penman. Participants will be recommended to purchase a copy also available on Kindle but not essential. Inputs from the group will be welcomed. No previous experience or special clothing is required. Usually, 3 meditations within the session.
We will meet weekly on Mondays (except bank holidays) at the Meeting Room, All Saints Church, Pavement, Pocklington from 10.30am to 12.00 noon. The price per session will be £1.50 including tea/coffee.
