Message from Ron Tinkler (Secretary)

You may remember some time ago that the Yoga Group was looking for a new teacher/instructor. I am pleased to report that they have found a suitable individual and Yoga has started up again. There are 2 spaces available and if you want further details please contact Group Leader Anne Chaslloner by email at

Are you interested in story telling?

A new Storytelling Group is being proposed.

Members of the Group would be asked to read out a roughly 5 minute story, old or new, original or from another source and general open, social discussion would follow on each "story".

It would not be compulsory for everyone in the Group to have a story for each meeting as it is meant to be a supportive and relaxed  social circle with an interest in stories from around the world.

If you are interested in finding out more information then please email

Without tempting fate, it looks as though we are over the worst of the Covid pandemic and moving into better times.

While there will inevitably be some bumps in the road ahead and reluctance from individuals and organisations to embrace old "freedoms" , it should allow many of our groups and activities to get going again.

While the Members Updates will not be twice a month as they have been for over 15 months now, information will be forwarded as appropriate and if you have a query please speak/email any member of the Committee.

Of course our Committee will change following the AGM scheduled for Thursday 22/07/21 and full details of new Committee Members will be communicated to P&D u3a members.

Keep safe

Ron Tinkler (Secretary)
