Singing For Pleasure

It has been biologically proven that singing is good for your health in many ways!  We have been singing for pleasure for over ten years now on the second Wednesday of each month from October to June in the Methodist Chapel, Pocklington, (good car parking at the rear of the chapel) and our singing times are 2.00pm until 3.30pm.  Our repertoire comprises a variety of songs from the shows, music hall and the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s etc.  No auditions are required to join our happy and social group for members who just love to sing!  We shall also be introducing lots of new songs to our repertoire.  Many members have reported that their breathing and feeling of well-being has improved after singing along with the group.  An enjoyable way to stay healthy!  All voices are welcome, no auditions.  More male voices required!

Unfortunately, our pianist Chris has now retired and is relocating out of the Yorkshire area.  On behalf of all our members we would like to thank Chris for some most enjoyable singing sessions and we wish him a very happy and long retirement.

NOTE: DUE TO COVID19 AND COMMENCING FROM MARCH 2020 ALL 'SINGING FOR PLEASURE' MEETINGS ARE NOW SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
