First Aid Awareness: if you are interested in attending this event please email the Secretary as soon as possible to secure a place the course summary is as follows:

• Don Buxton of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust will be providing a session which covers the following:
  • How to recognize a Suspected Heart Attack
  • How, when and why to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • (CPR)
  • How to perform Hands-Only Chest Compressions (CPR)
  • How, when and why to place an Unconscious Breathing person
  • in the Recovery Position
  • How to recognise and deal with a Choking Situation
  • How to deal with Life-Threatening or Serious Bleeding (Adult – Child – Baby protocols will be shown)
• The training session will take place at Burnby Hall Community Centre commencing at 1.45pm and concluding at 4.15pm. Those attending MUST stay for the duration of the training session.
