Medieval Churches

Most of the medieval parish churches within the region have some features of particular interest such as the architecture, history, religion, or quirkiness which makes a visit rewarding.

In the last few months we have visited Wintringham (Norman chancel, fourteenth century nave and  Perpendicular tower with a steeple), Birkin (a rare example of a Norman church with apse), Terrington (surviving Anglo-Saxon stonework) and Dalby (fortified Norman chancel).

The group meet on the second Thursday of every month at 10:00am. Details are emailed to Group Members before each meeting.
