Military History

We are a group of amateurs sharing an interest in all aspects of military history.  Talks are given by either members of the group or visiting speakers and the subjects are wide-ranging, covering conflicts from early times to the present day.  Our last meeting in January 2020 covered the history of 49 Squadron RAF.  The talk given by Malcolm Brooke was very well researched and presented and was well appreciated by the Group.

Unfortunately, due to the onset of Covid-19 the rest of our meetings planned for 2020 have had to be postponed.  All the speakers sceduled for 2020 have agreed to give their talks in 2021

I have maintained contact with the group by e-mail and have shared a couple of recorded talks and a military history quiz.  In an attempt to keep the flag flying, I have prepared a programme for 2021 ( more in hope than expectation).

If you share our interest you are very welcome to join us in Yapham Village Hall. Contact Group Leader for further Information and confirmation of times.
